Editorial Reviews
Notice:Dear customer, There are two types of kindle fire HD cases in the market: One type with the camera opening on the left side of the case, and the other with the camera opening on the right side. You will find a lot of brand cases in either one of these two categories. The way our slim fit leather case series works is that you need to have the camera on the right side when you insert your kindle fire into the case (from left to right, please see the listing picture above). By doing that your camera will be on the top when you transform the case into a horizontal viewing stand. Please remember the power & volume buttons and earphone jack should be on the bottom for this type of the case, not on the top. One thing also VERY important is that you need to unlock the kindle fire so it will rotate freely. Once you follow the instruction above, you should be able to open our case just like book (right to left, not left to right).

Product Description

Stand It, Store It & Go Protect your Kindle Fire HD 8.9 with this Fintie Folio Stand Case at all times! This case sports a simple and classy design made from synthetic leather, and the interior is lined with non-scratch material so you don't need to worry about any damages. Simply insert your device in the open pocket and secure it in place with the velcro flap. This case has a magnetic flap closure and a built-in smart holder for stylus/pen . Because the cover is uniquely designed to flip back and transform the case into a comfortable viewing stand, this capability allows the viewer to use the Kindle Fire HD comfortably. All features of the Kindle fire HD are accessible even with the case on.

Customer Reviews

Perfect. - Brian Nallick "METAL on Dec 3, 2012

Well, after reading nothing but glowing reviews for the 7 inch model of this product I decided on this one as my unofficial "home" for my Kindle 8.9.
It came two days early and I must say I'm very happy.
You can use it as a stand or lying flat.
It fits perfectly.
The stylus holder is nice also but could be a tad tighter.
The on off feature doesn't work 100% of the time but it's a minor issue.
It would also be nice if there was a side compartment for a cleaning cloth but also...a minor complaint/suggestion.
The inside is lined with felt (feels like felt anyway) which is also very nice but a major lint collector lol.
I've just been storing my kindle in the box it came in so lugging it to work and back has been a real pain. (I keep it in a gym bag.)
This is much better and much more professional looking.
Cheap, stylish and functional.
For ten bucks you can't go wrong.
Recommended.

Nice Cover And Less Expensive! - lkane on Dec 7, 2012

I bought the purple for my larger Kindle fire. Looks nice and is a great price! Paid enough for the electronics , didn't want to dish out more money needlessly on cover. This one works great!

Love It - Debrah L. Gladstone on Dec 7, 2012

Great product good for the price I cud not see paying $54 for the amazon version, holds my stylus as well

Nice Case - Scott G. Clemens on Dec 6, 2012

The case fits well and the Auto sleep/awake feature is great. The olny con is that it tips over easy in the stand postion.

Great Case Especially For The Price - Gary's Feedback on Dec 7, 2012

When I saw how inexpensive it was compared to the other Kindle Fire HD 8.9 cases, I thought it would be a disappointment. But it turned out to be very well made and well suited for the Kindle. Easy to insert the Kindle and the openings were all where they should be so all the buttons can be used. The only strange thing was the Fintie name on the front is up side down when you hold the Kindle in portrait mode but for the price who really cares.

I LOVE IT!! - Goldina Mystery "fil on Dec 8, 2012

Just got mine! Ordered a month ago for $3.99 plus shipping. Wish I would of ordered another at that price. It is exactly as described. You can't go wrong. I got the orange one! If they go to prime shipping I'll get another.

Flintie Slim Fit Navy Case - Kathleen M. on Dec 7, 2012

A definate keeper

Very Nice - me on Dec 21, 2012

Works well and I enjoy the color! I got a slip cover at the Dollar Store for $3.00 that worked as well before this case was delivered.

It's A Great Cover At A Reasonable Price - M J M on Dec 18, 2012

I really like this cover as it is padded, but not bulky. The protection it gives my Kindle is great and I don't worry when I put it in my purse or briefcase. I would give the product 5 stars, but the delivery from the company left a lot to be desired. When I placed my order I thought a 4-5 week wait was excessive, but was pleased when I received a notification that my package had been shipped after 2 1/2 weeks. Imagine my surprise when I tracked the package and saw it was shipped from Ohio and delivered to an address in California - I live in New York. Being optimistic, I waited two weeks before contacting the company for an explanation only to receive a generic response of shipments being delayed during the holidays. (I ordered the cover in October). Interestingly, the next day I received a notification that my package was shipped (Ohio to New York). I do understand that mistakes are made, but I would have been happier with a straight answer - "I'm sorry there was a shipping error and we will get your product out to you right away." Will this stop me from ordering something from Fintie again? Probably not.

Great Cover! - Tracy Majerczak on Dec 18, 2012

Love the color and the durability. I also like how when I open it my Kindle turns on and when I close it it shuts down. Way cool!

I Like It - Daxi on Dec 17, 2012

I paid $9.98 for this so my expectations were not high. I like it. it has a stylus holder, seems to have a nice strong case to protect the kindle. I would like to have had no more opitions to set the stand-I.e higher lower. There is only on setting unless you consider standing upright.

Great Case For A Great Price - Palepaige on Dec 15, 2012

Just got this case in the mail a few days ago. I got the navy blue and it is absolutely beautiful. It is a nice quality for the price, and the color is very nice.

The standing up option is nice, I use it this way most of the time. The only problem is that you can't charge it while it is standing up on its zide. The charger will be up against the table / whatever you have it sitting on. You can remedy this by having the charger hang off, or setting the thing on its side the other way (longways). However, the case is not designed for it to sit this way so it is slightly....wobbly.

It has cut outs for all the buttons, which is very useful. However, I fear that these will get worn out over time. They sort of poof out, and I think that they might rub against stuff and fray / tear. There is also a pen (stylus?) holder on one side that probably will come in handy.

All in all, for $10, this is a great buy. I would highly recommend it for light use, but I don't think it would stand up to heavy wear and tear.

Close To Perfect - Kef Hollenbach "Love on Dec 15, 2012

Excellent fit with cut-out perfectly placed. Cut-outs were perfectly sized, just slightly larger than where buttons positioned which allows for firm finger contact. thickness of synthetic leather was unexpectedly good.

Stitching was error free with no loose threads.

Magnetic close was "there" without being overpowering. (I can only guess the manufacturer did many 'trial and error' sessions to achieve enough holding attraction without going overboard.)

Great Case - jc on Dec 15, 2012

I purchased the green case and love the way that it fits my Kindle and it looks nice. I have received compliments continuously about the case. Plan to purchase more colors.

At This Price You Can't Go Wrong. - yamugushi on Dec 14, 2012

I received the Navy blue one as a gift with my new kindle. Since I got it as a gift I had no idea of the price. Based on the quality I'd have assume it was around double the price (or the 'regular price', its currently on sale at $13) Now it does trim a few corners and I'm sure its not as finely tailored as the $55 kindle one but at $13 I think I might buy another! The only detractors I have are the pen (stylus?) holder; its unnecessary and sticks out. And the back stand flap SEEMS like it could get worn out easily, it hasn't but it feels a bit cheap but I haven't had it long enough for it to get worn out.

Upsidedown - Jeanine Plummer on Dec 14, 2012

I love how the Kindle turns on when you open the cover. Fits the Kindle very well & easy to put on. It has a nice texture & very sturdy; reasonably priced good quality product. I like the color; it's a nice blue. Not too girlie for my husband & not too manly for me. ;) Stand works perfectly. Absolutely nothing wrong with this product. I highly recommend!!

Kindle Case Cover - Susan Brecker on Dec 13, 2012

Purchased this in pink (who doesn't love pink) as a gift for my daughter. I purchased the Kindle as well for her for Christmas. I can't wait til she sees it!

Cover Doesn't Stay Closed. Attractive. Not Soft Enough Lining. - Seth on Dec 12, 2012

The primary issue I have with this product is that the cover (auto sleep/wake) does not stay closed. Consequently, the Kindle wakes up when you set it down. I'm hoping that with use it will loosen up and stay closed.

I also think the inside could be softer to better protect the Kindle.

It is attractive. While I didn't purchase it for heavy duty protection I don't think the cover would protect much in case of dropping.

A Must Have - day7light on Dec 12, 2012

With this new product comes a new case a must have for anyone traveling with it. Kindles are now allowed in many schools to read books as well such as Dodge County High a plus for any teacher delving into the classics.

Fintie Orange Slim Fit Leather Case Cover - C Higley on Dec 11, 2012

I bought a new Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and needed a cover. Seen this at a low price, so I thought I would take a chance. I am very pleased with the quality.

Like The Stand - MARY from butternut on Dec 11, 2012

Fits the Kindle great and the placement of the openings for plug ins and buttons is perfect. And the price was right!

Great Accessary - Deborah Sumner on Dec 10, 2012

Love the color and the way it covers up the kindle and sets it up to use eisle style. No complaints here.

Very Nice Cover - E. Henry "Crafty Jea on Dec 9, 2012

This cover has very nice soft feel. It fits the Kindle Fire just fine. There is a place for a stylus and it easy to set up if you don't want to hold it in your hand.

Get What You Pay For - Cherbunny on Dec 8, 2012

I bought this for the price and the color (purple). My kindle is unlocked but it still views upside down when using Words with Friends. In this position the auto sleep activates a lot when it shouldn't.

It would be great if the sleeve velcro'ed to the cover so I can turn it upside down. Then the orientation would not be a problem.

For $10 this will have to do until a reasonably priced, stylish cover becomes available.

Fintie Slin Blue Leather Case - Carol Kershner on Dec 9, 2012

Fintie blue Slim Leather Case Cover. Its very hard to get the Kindle in and out of this product. I plan to buy somethig different for it, that works better and looks nicer.

Disappointed - Stacey D on Dec 5, 2012

The case came and did not at all fit. I'll have to return it. I was disappointed in the quality as well.

Good Quality - Wendell S. Akins on Dec 7, 2012

It is a nice case but it seems to be upside down for the kindle fire. Basically its like its backwards to the way you would open a standard book.
